The book The Gift of Dyslexia (2010 edition, by Ronald D. Davis) gives an in-depth explanation of the theory underlying Davis methods and detailed explanations of the key techniques used in Davis programs.

Testing for dyslexia

Davis facilitators offer basic screening services for Davis programs.  The Davis screening is inexpensive and will determine whether a Davis program can address specific problems and difficulties the person wants help with. It is not necessary to have a formal diagnosis of dyslexia or any other learning difference to work with a Davis Facilitator.

This website lists all active Davis Facilitators who have been licensed through 2024. The best way to find a facilitator is to use this site’s map and search features to locate someone nearby.

DDAI and its regional affiliates offer professional training opportunities throughout the world, in several different languages.

Participatory workshops are geared to teachers, therapists, and other adults seeking to better understand the Davis approach and apply Davis techniques in their work. Parents and homeschoolers are welcome too!
